The Graduate School has implemented an automated workflow system for several Doctoral and Master’s student forms, including:
These workflows use Smartsheet to notify the student, committee members, university reader, and the Graduate School whenever an action is needed, and whenever processes are started or completed. A sample email sent to the committee from Smartsheet when a student submits a Request for Report on General Oral Examination. The committee member should click the “View Request” link to record a decision. Please do not click the Unsubscribe link or no more notifications will be received.
After clicking the “View Request” link in the email, the committee member is presented with a form where they Approve or Decline the Oral Exam.
A confirmation email sent to the student from Smartsheet after the student has submitted a Request for Report on General Oral Examination. Please do not click the Unsubscribe link or no more notifications will be received.
Once the University Reader has approved a Doctoral student’s dissertation evaluation, the student is will be sent a Smartsheet form where they should provide information regarding the final exam date, time, and location, as well as dissertation embargo options.
