Distinguished Graduate Faculty Lecture Nominations

Nomination Instructions

The Graduate School requests nominations for the 2024-25 Distinguished Graduate Faculty Lectureship. An appropriate forum will be held during the spring of 2025 to honor the recipient and his/her scholarly works. The lecturer will receive a $2,000 award from the Office of Alumni Affairs and a certificate commemorating the lectureship. The Distinguished Graduate Faculty Lectureship has developed into a major university lecture series that fosters a better understanding of the significant scholarly contributions made by our faculty.

All nominations should be forwarded to the Graduate School no later than 4:45 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2024. Each nomination should include a full curriculum vitae containing detailed information on the nominee’s research or other creative endeavors. A statement should be attached summarizing the nominee’s work and assessing the significance of the work as it relates to graduate education on our campus.

Finally, at least three letters of support should be included that document the impact that the nominee has had on the field and on graduate education at Auburn. Every attempt should be made to include all appropriate information because the selection will be made on the basis of the material submitted.  Please submit the nomination packet through this link.

Faculty members who have been nominated previously will be considered only if a new nomination is submitted. In such cases, materials submitted with the earlier nominations should be updated.
