Auburn University Graduate School has made temporary changes to testing requirements.  Please see the appropriate section below for details (subject to change based on departmental requirements).

GRE/GMAT Testing

Contact the Graduate Program Officer (GPO) for the program of interest for specific details. A full list of Auburn University Graduate Programs with contact information for the GPOs can be found at http://graduate.auburn.edu/prospective-students/areas-of-study/.

Programs waiving the GRE/GMAT test score requirement:

Special Notes:

  • The Entomology MS, MAg and PhD programs do not require the GRE, but do leave the overall requirement up to the individual Principal Investigator.
  • While the GRE is required as an evaluation tool, the Mechanical Engineering MS and PhD programs will use flexibility regarding submission deadline, conditional admission, and cut-off limits.
  • The GMAT is not required for applicants to the Accountancy Online MAcc. The GMAT is optional but recommended for AU undergraduates for the on-campus MAcc program, and required for non-AU students.
  • The Full-Time MBA, Online MBA, MS Finance, MS Information Systems, and MS Supply Chain Management programs will waive the GMAT/GRE test score requirement for applicants that meet established criteria. Please visit the program pages on harbert.auburn.edu for more information.
  • The Executive MBA, Physicians Executive MBA and Master of Real Estate Development programs do not require the GMAT.
