Contest Basics
The Auburn University Graduate School is holding a T-shirt design competition open to all currently enrolled students, including undergraduate, graduate and professional students. The Graduate School will reproduce the winning design on T-shirts that are distributed to incoming graduate students at the New Graduate Student Welcome Event in fall and spring semesters. The winner will be awarded a Wrapsody gift basket, valued at approximately $275, after successful submission of final artwork.
Students must submit original artwork that conforms to the rules and regulations outlined below. Copyrighted or trademarked materials will not be considered. Designs that represent the graduate student experience and are uniquely Auburn are strongly encouraged.
- The contest opens Oct. 1 with submissions due by Nov. 30, 2026.
- In January 2027, the review committee will select the top three designs for a public voting period.
- The top three designs and voting methodology will be announced via the Graduate School's website, social media platforms, and the monthly graduate student e-newsletter.
- The voting period will remain open for a two-week period.
- The creator of the winning artwork selected through popular vote will be notified and asked to submit final artwork and required waiver forms.
- The winner will be awarded a Wrapsody gift basket, valued at approximately $275, after successful submission of final artwork and required waiver forms.
- The winner will be announced via the Graduate School's website and social media channels.
- The new design will be produced on the Graduate School T-shirts starting in fall 2027.
- The contest is open to all currently enrolled students (must provide Banner ID number for verification)
- Download the official logos plus font documents and color palette
- Download a scale drawing of the T-shirt with artwork placement
- Create an original design that represents graduate student life at Auburn, using only official logos and colors, plus black and white.
- Designs must not contain profanity, inappropriate language, nor suggestive materials unbecoming of the Auburn family.
- Designs must not contain copyrighted or trademarked material.
- Upload your design idea in a high resolution image or InDesign file format when completing the submission form.
- Agree to the terms and conditions upon submission:
- The Graduate School retains exclusive rights to use the submitted design. The Graduate School will own the design and may reproduce the design on T-shirts or other materials in the future.
- Student acknowledges that the submitted artwork is an original creation by the submitter and is not subject to copyright.
- Student agrees to not submit this design to other design competitions nor reproduce this artwork by any other means.
- All submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. CT, Monday, November 30, 2026.
- The winner will be notified by AU email to complete the required waiver form and receive the prize, which must be picked up in person at Hargis Hall on the Auburn University campus.
- A photo of the winner and the design will be shared via the AU Graduate School's social media channels.
