Objective
The Truman Scholarship is the premier national scholarship for graduate students aspiring to careers in public service. The Truman Foundation identifies aspiring leaders at an important inflection point in their development – when they are college juniors – and recognizes and rewards their commitments to careers in public service through financial support of graduate education. Many Truman Scholars go on to serve in public office, as prosecutors and public defenders, as leaders of non-profit organizations, and as educators. For more information about the award, please visit the Truman Scholarship webpage.
